TechFest 2020 — the national startup and innovation festival

TECHFEST is the largest annual technology and innovation event, organised by Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology together with many other ministries, agencies and socio-political organisations.

“Chance to Change — adapt, transform, break through” was this year's TechFest slogan.

With the support of the Party, the State and the ministries, scholars and young intellectuals agree that science and technology will lead the country's development.

At STECH, founded and growing since 2005, we still raise the same banner as on the first day — master technology together, be first into new ground — and the startup spirit has never stopped.

At TechFest, STECH brought new products, and Onyx TechLab brought its home security solutions:
- CyLock — a secure cryptographic lock,
- eFence — an electronic perimeter fence with an encrypted infrared beam grid,
- iTicket — an electronic ticket with face recognition,

And other useful, inventive solutions:
- SmartQMAN, the sixth generation of the smart queue management system
- SmartMedia, an effective communications management system

The new technology on display, demonstrated live, not only intrigued visitors from many different fields but also inspired inventive engineers — the inventors of the future

The CyLock remote lock in particular was shown to the public for the first time. Its strengths — essentially unhackable, 100,000 button presses, ten years of use without a battery change, water resistant — drew a great deal of interest and feedback from customers

Other distinctive new technologies were already in practical use, such as deep-learning face recognition applied to electronic tickets, bringing real convenience to modern life.

Over the two days of the festival our engineers demonstrated the products, ran technical workshops on their features and explained the value they bring to everyday life. We are grateful for the interest and the warm reception from customers and technology enthusiasts.
