STECH is honoured with a certificate of merit from the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology at Techmart Hanoi 2006

Over four days, from 22 to 25 September, STECH took part in the Capital Technology and Equipment Fair — Techmart Hanoi 2006, at the Giang Vo Exhibition Centre in Hanoi.

Although it is a young technology company, STECH brought a number of finished products to the fair: the ARS rain-sensing automatic door system, the SmartQMAN automatic queue management system, an MP3 player, electronic circuit design services and more — and drew a great deal of visitor interest.

Every product STECH presented was designed by Vietnamese engineers using the most advanced technology of the day: integrated electronic circuits and embedded programming on the most modern microcontrollers (C51, PIC, AVR and others)

At the fair, several customers who saw the demonstrations and heard STECH engineers explain the features and specifications in detail wanted to sign a contract as soon as the fair ended.

Customers' enthusiasm at the fair did more than boost company revenue; it was a powerful motivation for our product engineers, who saw that what they had built was useful and warmly received, at a time when electronics manufacturing in Vietnam is still very young.

This was partly because STECH was one of the few companies exhibiting Vietnamese technology and products at the fair, but mainly because those products were inventive and genuinely useful. STECH was honoured with a certificate of merit from the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology

On the afternoon of 25 September 2006 the organisers reviewed the fair and held the closing ceremony for Techmart Hanoi 2006. During the fair (22–25 September 2006), 258 contracts were signed with a total value of 92.5 billion dong.

According to the organisers, over the four days of the fair more than 120,000 visitors came to the 256 stands of 20 research institutes, 3 universities, 9 technology development centres and companies from Vietnam and abroad.

More than 1,000 memoranda and contracts were signed, 258 of them contracts.

At the closing ceremony the Hanoi People's Committee gave awards to 25 organisations and the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology to 35, for the quality of the equipment and technology they presented at the fair.

More than 400 pieces of equipment, technologies and software solutions were offered at Techmart Hanoi 2006.
